Kayelen Helton & Matt Ingle win the #13.5 Heartland in Hamilton, TX

Congratulations to Kayelen Helton, Stephenville, TX and Matt Ingle, Cumby, TX for winning the #13.5 Heartland in Hamilton, TX on June 24. Kayelen and Matt were second high call with a time of 24.46 on three head of steer, needing a 9.01 or better to jump to first. They were able to do just that with a time on the last steer of 8.69, besting the field by .33 seconds giving them 33.15 on 4. Things fell apart for the high call team of Shane Williams and producer Troy Shelley, giving Helton and Ingle the win. The sixth team back of Cassidy Boggs & Cody Tew took home second, with a 7.82 on their short-go steer. The $2500 short-go fast time went to the 25^th call, as Micah Smith and Kelly Boswell roped their final steer in 6.11 seconds.  With their first-place win, Helton and Ingle took home $18,700 along with Cactus Saddlery Trophy Saddles and Pads, and Gist Silversmith HL Champion Buckles. Congratulations to all of the Heartland winners who all qualified for the Ariat WSTR Finale XVI.
