All in the Family at The #10.5 Heartland
With a win by .05 seconds even after a leg in the short round, Jack Foster, Stockton, MO and Brad Foster, Rhome, TX were able to take home the win at the #10.5 Heartland in Decatur, TX on March 5th, 2022. This nephew- uncle team came out hot, winning the fast times in both round 1 and 2, with a combined time of 13.49. With a clean run of 8.46 on their 3rd steer, they were ahead of the pack by almost 5 seconds heading into the short round. With most of the top 10 teams missing or roping a leg in the short round, they had to rope 15.89 on their 4th and final steer to beat the 8th high team back of Nolan Grint & Jon Pudwill. They were able to do just that, squeaking by and roping 15.85 on the last steer to finish with a 37.80 on 4 head. Combined, this family duo walked away with $27,000, along with Cactus Saddlery Prize Saddles, Trophy Pads, and Gist Silversmith HL Champion Buckles. Congratulations to all of the Heartland winners who qualified for the Ariat WSTR Finale XVI.
